The latest collection includes hero models such as the EOS 1200D, PowerShot G1 X Mark II, PowerShot SX 700, IXUS 155, LEGRIA mini X and PIXMA iP 8740 within the DSLR, DSC, DVC and Inkjet product categories.
The regional launch event, hosted under the creative theme – ‘Perfect Pictures this Summer, Whatever Happens’, was held at an experiential activity at the Anantara Sir Bani Yas Island Al Sahel Villa Resort in Abu Dhabi. Attendees put the latest cameras through its paces at fun-filled activities including a wildlife safari drive and a cookery class producing images that captured mesmerising moments.
Representing the DSLR range in the new collection is the EOS 1200D which has launched alongside a new EOS Companion app; this entry-level DSLR and smartphone app make it easy for everyone to take their first step into DSLR photography.
Three new models also join the PowerShot range: the PowerShot GI X Mark II offers DSLR-standard performance in a compact body; the PowerShot SX700 HS is Canon’s slimmest-ever 30x optical zoom; and the latest addition to the PowerShot S-series, the PowerShot S200. In addition, three new IXUS models are being introduced, letting users shoot great pictures in style: the IXUS 155, IXUS 150 and IXUS 145.
Also introduced at the event was the much awaited LEGRIA mini X – a brand new creative camcorder that delivers professional quality audio alongside stunning HD video to match. Among the latest collection of inkjet printers, also included the latest PIXMA iP 8740 inkjet printer, ideal for photo enthusiasts looking to step up and print stunning images at home.

EOS 1200D – beautiful DSLR photography made easy

Outstanding detail is possible thanks to minimum 1pl ink droplets and up to 9600dpi print resolution.
