It comes in two sizes and three models — original, with a custom stainless steel alloy case; Sport, with an anodized aluminum alloy case; and Edition, with an 18K gold case — and boasts a totally novel new interface based around a Digital Crown. Powered by a custom S1 processor, it also features a flexible Retina display that’s laminated to a single crystal of sapphire and senses not just touch, but pressure.
It’s also got wireles charging, a built-in heart rate monitor, a Taptic engine to provide subtle force feedback, and Siri integration. In addition to the different models, there will be tons of different bands available, all of which are easy to swap in and out — meaning you can customize it to fit any occasion. And if what we’ve seen so far is any indication, that’s a really good thing, because you’re not going to want to take it off. Your iPhone just got a new best friend.
